So this morning I couldn't take having another set of my protein pancakes for the 1,000th day in a row. The thought of cooking up frozen blueberries with protein powder and egg just made me want to crawl back in bed and wait for the weekend to pass. I recently bought Jillian Michael's book Master Your Metabolism Cookbook, and have been pleasantly surprised by her quick and easy recipes.
The title is kind of a bore and I hate to admit it -but the girl can cook! This morning I tried her "Steel-cut oats with apples and pecans." Now, I surely didn't have steel cut oats OR pecans, but I did have oatmeal, apples, and all the little things like honey and cinnamon.
In less than 5 minutes it was finished! The oatmeal was creamy, tangy, sweet and the extra crunch of the apples and cinnamon was a great start to my morning along with my coffee... And as you can see, the oatmeal came out perfect!
cheers!

Yummy and good for you! Here's another twist on this good old-fashioned food. Mix a spoonful of Peanut Butter and a few sliced bananas! It's really good!
